Sono stato presso il b&b nel week end di capodanno con la mia ragazza. Abbiamo avuto a disposizione una sorta di mini-appartamento con bagno privato. Tutto perfetto, in particolare ottima igiene degli ambienti e della biancheria, letto comodo, camera e bagno comodi e spaziosi. La signora Adele ci ha accolto con grande cortesia e ci ha offerto una colazione... "panoramica" sul lago, curata nei dettagli ed abbondante con specialità del luogo sia dolci che salate. |La località è di per sè una poesia e questo B&b permette di sentirsi coccolati e rilassati.

Abbiamo trascorso 2 notti in questo b&b, siamo stati ospitati in due camere al piano interrato con bagno in comune, in poche parole era come un piccolo appartamento. Le stanze non erano grandissime ma in compenso tutto era molto curato e soprattutto molto pulito. E poi la ciliegina sulla torta; la colazione viene servita nella terrazza con una vista mozzafiato sul lago. Colazione abbondante con prodotti locali fatti in casa. E infine la cordialità della signora Adele che ringraziamo.

Where to start? Lovely place about a 5 minute stroll down the hill to the lake. Don't be fooled though, the house does have stuning views of the lake and the mountains from the garden and the balcony/windows. Secure gates to park your car in the garden or on the drive, too. ||||Adele is absolutely wonderful and couldn't help us enough. Freshly prepared breakfast every morning (continental style plus fresh meats etc) and she even baked us fresh cakes each day. When I asked for a bit of information about hiring a boat, I ended up with about ten leaflets and information about where was good to walk, climb, swim, explore etc. Adele is a lovely lady and will look after you, whatever you need.||||We had the top floor when we went (Adele lives in the middle floor) and the bottom floor is also rented out. The place itself is lovely, lots of wooden beams and old furniture (doesn't look dated though, just quaint) and the view from the windows was gorgeous. It has a kitchen, dining area, two large bedrooms and a huge bathroom.||||Local area has a lot to offer if you have a car or are prepared to get the bus - lots of small towns, harbours and a thousand places to eat. Some are within walking distance but to really get the most out of your trip, get around and explore places like Menaggio, get a boat from here to Belaggio (stunning town, great shops and boutiques etc) or head North and explore Dongo and Gravedona.||||ABsolute bargain for the price, you'll be very well looked after, the location is so relaxing and pictureque, and couldn't fault a single thing. Get it booked!

The b&b was clean and the landlady very polite and friendly. The b&b seems to have 2 rooms and one appartment. Unfortunately we were in the appartment which is souterrain and very dark. But I have to admit that there are pictures of those rooms on the website, but we didn't realize it would be souterrain. So naturally it was really dark down there. Also it someone has to sit on the "side bench" on the terrace if the b&b is fully booked which happened to be us. So there are the two nice tables on the front part and then there's also a bench without backrest at the (on the pics) left side behind the open fireplace. You can still somehow see the lake but we felt like being sent to the penalty bench. The breakfast was very good, though and Adele even gave us fresh tomatoes and was very lovely in every way. ||The bathroom was very modern. ||One big minus were the "mattresses" in the twin room (see picture) which made it impossible to sleep well. I was honestly considering to sleep on the floor or the sofa in the other room, but then we took one normal mattress out of the double bed and that was ok. ||||The small beach is an only 5-10min walk away (next to the camping), but we drove to a nicer an bigger beach to a nearby village.||||It is a nice breakfast, the landlady, the view and the location is also good, but all things considered I would maybe only go there again for a night, not longer.

Curiositeit

My Mother and I stayed here for a week in september. Driving up the steep hill scared me a little bit at first but witout that there wouldn't be the lovely view from the balcony and you get used to it anyway. ||||Having breakfast here every morning was a real treat. For Italian understandings it was a very extended breakfast (continental with homemade jam). The owner, Adèle, understands how north Europeans like to start their day :). ||||We had the topappartement, two bedrooms, living area, bathroom. We didn't use the kitchen, but it is there. All the rooms were very clean and our towels were changed twice. Adèle really takes care of here guests. Always ready to give advice about sights or restaurants. She also makes time to chat every now and then which gave us the opportunaty to get to know the Italian life a little bit better. ||||Because the house is located in a residential area it's very tranquil. You only hear the churchbells, dogs barking every now and then and of course the occasional Vespa going up or down the mountain. ||||There' s not much going on in Pianello so you need a car.||||All and all, great vallue for money.

We stayed 2 nights. Peaceful and relaxing. ||The host was very easy going and welcoming. ||Breva e Tivan was a great location to explore other areas of Lake Como.||We relaxed in the garden under the tree, reading books in peace, and enjoying some snacks that we bought from the Supermarket (5 minute walk away). We explored the village itself, walking up into the hills. We also explored the water front, and went for a 20 minute jog each morning before breakfast. ||Breakfast was delicious. Full and healthy options too. The yoghurt was unsweetened and home made as far as we could tell - yum! Our favourite! There was also some other home made goodies in addition to the breads, cereal, spreads, cheese / meat for breads. Coffee was great too! We love Italian coffee.

Abbiamo passato 3 giorni al Bed and Breakfast BREVA e TIVAN, ma si puo' restare facilmente una settimana tante sono le cose da vedere sul Lago di Como : giardini, passeggiate ... Da non mancare assolutamente Villa Carlotta !||||L'accoglienza è di una rara efficienza e discrezione, la signora Adele è di una gentilezza squisita ed è anche molto simpatica, pronta a soddisfare ogni desiderio e a fornire le informazioni necessarie. La colazione con vista sul lago è un momento indimenticabile.||||Da consigliare a tutti !

We stayed for a couple of days in May 2014 and loved it. The property is beautiful and Adele was a very generous host. The breakfast provided was lavish and we ate it on her balcony with a lovely view of the lake. We had a very comfortable time there with no complaints at all.
